Our translational research laboratory studies T cell responses in inflamed tissues using a mixture of traditional and computational methods.

Overview

The goal of immunotherapy is to help patients by manipulating the immune system. For cancer patients, this often means stimulating immune cells called T cells, which can be potent killers of cancer cells. This is achieved using traditional drugs and cellular therapies, sometimes called “living drugs”. To improve patient responses to these therapies and reduce life-threatening adverse reactions, it is critical that we understand how to manipulate T cell responses against cancer. The Rogers Lab is contributing to this knowledge through complimentary avenues.
